LA Times Sweepstakes - Free Year of Groceries - Ends 10/4

Filed under: Local Sweeps — admin at 9:47 pm on Tuesday, August 26, 2008

If you’re feeling brave, you can try entering this sweep I just found while reading an article at the Los Angeles Times.

https://latsweepstakes.landingpage1.com/lat_sweepstakes.php

You can win a year of free groceries, awarded in the form of 12 $500 Vons gift certificates (for a grand total of $6,000!). You may enter once per person until 10/4/08. And you may only enter if you live in a certain set of zip codes spelled out in the official rules. Click on the Terms & Conditions link at the bottom right of the page to make sure you qualify. I am not positive Victorville will qualify. :(

Be sure to click on the button to say you don’t want to subscribe to the Los Angeles Times, unless you truly do want to subscribe! It’s set up to automatically subscribe you unless you say no.

And you have to be brave to enter, because you just know the L.A. Times is going to call you after you enter this. They seem to use any excuse they can get to call me. I hope I don’t end up regretting entering this.

Stater Bros. “Win free gas for a month” Ends 8/26/08

Filed under: Local Sweeps — admin at 10:55 am on Thursday, August 14, 2008

When you visit your local Stater Brothers and make a purchase of $50 or more, you’ll get a free entry form to enter this “Win free gas for a month” sweepstakes. If your store is as organized as the one I shop at, you should see a drop box near one of the entrances with a pencil attached. Fill it out and drop it in for a chance to win. One winner will be selected per store each day through 8/26/08. You will get another entry form and another chance to win for each additional $25 you spend in a single transaction. (Spend $75, get two entry forms, spend $100, get three entry forms.) You are limited to 5 total entries per household per day.

You can also enter for free through the mail. The official rules indicate you should mail entries to your local store. Read the official rules online for details.

Have you found any local sweeps?

Filed under: Local Sweeps — admin at 8:34 pm on Saturday, April 26, 2008

By local sweeps, I mean a contest or sweepstakes open to residents of certain cities within the Inland Empire, or to residents of Riverside and/or San Bernardino counties, or to residents within Southern California.

If you have found a local sweep, click on the “Have you found any local sweeps?” title above,  and scroll to the bottom of the page to the “Leave a comment” section. Fill in your name and email address. (Your email address will not be made public. It is being used to prevent comments from spammers being shown.) You don’t have to fill in the website section. Details about the local giveaway should go in the “Your Comment” section. When you’re done, click on the “Submit Comment” button.

To see what other IE sweepers have discovered, click on the “Have you found any local sweeps?” title above to see the comments other people have left. Check back regularly to see new comments that have been posted. Have fun!
